This course acts as excellent preparation for pursuing a career in a modern floristry business, and will equip successful learners with the essential theoretical understanding and practical skills required to style and create a range of traditional and contemporary floral designs.
What you will experience
You will learn all about working in this increasingly popular industry, focusing on display and event decoration whilst gaining extensive practical experience in wedding, funeral and sympathy designs. You will also develop a thorough understanding of identification, care and conditioning of flowers and foliage, and learn more about what it is like to work in the floristry industry.
Applicants should at least have National 4, Intermediate 1 or Standard Grade Foundation/General level qualifications. Applicants should also have core skills communication at SCQF Level 4 or above.
