Why take this course?
This course is for the more experienced flower arranger who would like to introduce their own contemporary ideas to designs. This course aims to introduce learners to more advanced techniques and designs and encourage them to explore their own creative ideas.
What you will experience
You will be introduced to key skills and gain valuable practice when it comes to different techniques and how to follow trends in floral design. The course will cover:
- How to choose and prepare suitable flowers and foliage for designs
- How to use floral foam correctly in designs
- How to work with different vases & shapes
- How to work with space and structure
- How to create the right balance
- Introduction to contemporary floristry
Please note there are no formal assessments for this course.
What you need to know
Arrangements will be made using oasis and wire, and students to purchase their own materials. Your tutor will advise on the materials required on a weekly basis.
