This course is ideal for those who want to build on their artistic skills and understanding in preparation for study at a higher level.


Why take this course?

This course will introduce you to a wide range of subjects in the art, design and digital disciplines, which will provide you with the essential skills, practical experience and knowledge to prepare you for further study at a higher level.

What you will experience

You will study the fundamentals of photography, colour theory, web design, video and animation.  In addition you will also undertake art and design studies, so you can appreciate how these subjects relate to industry.  If successful in completing all of the units, you will gain the following national awards:

  • National Progression Award in Photography (SQCF Level 5)
  • National Progression Award in Art & Design: Digital Media (SQCF Level 5)
