Computing with Cyber Security
SCQF Level 6
This course is designed for students who want to build on their knowledge and understanding of computer support or software development.
Why take this course?
This course will introduce you to Computer Hardware, Software, and Cyber Security at an advanced level.
During this course you will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts in various computing disciplines and, where possible you will work on live projects in of our state–of–the–art cyber security labs.
What you will experience
Visit a large state–of–the–art data centre, learn about virtualisation in an organisation, and understand why cloud technologies are taking over and becoming more popular.
Work on live projects in of our state–of–the–art cyber security labs.
Opportunities exist to for guest speakers to visit the College, compete against other colleges in the World Skills competitions and attend cyber security themed events where you can meet people in the industry.
The entry requirements for this course are either two National 5's at grades at C or above — preferably one with a computing background; OR a recognised computing course at SCQF Level 5.
