Web Design (E-Commerce)
This course covers advanced skills of web design, and is the last in a trio of part-time web design courses.
Why take this course?
This is the third of three courses, and is designed to equip you with skills to build a website that will allow people to purchase products and services. It will also provide you with a good understanding of e-commerce.
What you will experience
You will focus on how to build a website that will allow people to purchase products and services, and become very familiar with the practices and processes of e-commerce. On this course you will study:
- Introduction to relational databases
- Creating databases using MySQL
- Using PHP
- Creating a web database
- Creating database queries
- E-commerce and security
- Implementing authentication
- Creating shopping carts
- Planning and running an e-commerce project
A good working knowledge of HTML & Adobe Dreamweaver or successful completion of the Intermediate Web Design course.
