Why take this course?
Technicians for the gas, oil and electronic sectors are in great demand. This is a 12 credit SQA NC Award which aims to take you to a standard which will qualify you for a National Certificate Group Award - enabling you to successfully progress towards further study at college or university, or to move directly into employment.
What you will experience
You will be introduced to the principles and applications of electronics. The main units are as follows:
- Electrical Principles
- Fundamental Electronics
- Electronic Test Equipment and Measurement
- Combinational Logic
- Electronic Network Analysis
You should have a Mathematics or Physics qualification at Standard Grade Credit, National 5 or Intermediate 2 level.
