A detailed introduction to manufacture and mechanical maintenance.


Why take this course?

The primary focus of this course is to provide candidates with a range of practical engineering skills and theoretical knowledge relevant to the National Certificates in Manufacturing & Mechanical Maintenance Engineering. As such, this award is suitable for those those who wish to become a skilled crafts persons/trades person.

The course is both workshop and classroom based, and is at Intermediate 2 level - equivalent to SCQF Level 5. Students successfully completing all of the units over the two year programme would attain two National Certificates.

You should have SVQ level 2 or Standard Grade General (level 3), Intermediate 1 or National 4 qualifications in Maths, English and Craft & Design/Skills for Work Engineering.
