Throughout the course you will develop your skills and understanding in a realistic salon environment.
What you will experience
You will learn basic techniques in make-up, skin and hand care, nail art, manicure and pedicure treatments. You will also learn skills and techniques for photographic make-up and creating a hair and beauty image, and complete Core Skills in Communication and Information Technology at INT 1.
The topics covered will ensure you have a firm grasp of health and safety, how to present a professional image in the salon and work effectively with others, and how to carry out reception duties.
Applicants should have a minimum of three National 4, Intermediate 1 or Standard Grade General level qualifications, or appropriate life/work experience. Good communication and practical skills are required, with the ability to develop and learn essential skills.
All applicants should have a genuine interest in becoming a beauty therapist and a commitment to the profession.
