Why take this course?

This course is aimed at learners with some additional learning support needs. It provides a broad practical introduction to retailing, which enables students to develop the skills and knowledge – as well as general Core Skills – required to gain employment in the retail sector, or progress to further study.

A work experience placement is also built into the course to further prepare you for progression.

What you will experience

You will complete the SQA Skills for Work: Retailing (SCQF Level 5) course, which covers working in retail, meeting customer needs, selling skills, stock handling, marketing, planning, implementing an event, and other optional units. Core skills are developed throughout the course by combining classroom learning and practical work experience.
