SCQF Level 6
This course will prepare you for further study or employment through the completion of four SQA Highers.
Why take this course?
On this course you will develop a deeper understanding of human behaviour and society through the study of four SQA Highers.
The course is intended for those with strong qualifications at SCQF Level 5 who wish to improve on their existing qualifications and progress to further study or employment.
What you will experience
Following pre-entry guidance, a programme of 4 Highers will be agreed from the following:
- Higher English
- Higher Psychology
- Higher Sociology
- Higher Politics
- Higher History
Applicants should have Higher, National 5 or Standard Grade Credit level qualifications. At the very least, applicants should have Core Skills Communication or equivalent at SCQF level 6.

Successful attainment of four Highers should guarantee entry to university. Entry may depend on the grades attained and the university that you apply to.
