Every year the College hosts graduation ceremonies for its final year students who have successfully completed their group award (HNC, HND) and are certified by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. These students are eligible to graduate from North East Scotland College.

Graduation is a special day where we can celebrate the achievements of our students alongside friends, family and loved ones. It marks the beginning of an exciting journey, whatever your future plans, and allows you to look back on your time at North East Scotland College with a sense of pride.

Graduation 2019

North East Scotland College hosts two Graduations — one for students who have studied in Fraserburgh, and one for students who have studied in Aberdeen or Ellon.

A student is eligible to participate in the Graduation Ceremony if they have completed a HNCHND or any other equivalent advanced course of study.

To attend a ceremony, you need to do two things.

1. Register to attend

Registration has now closed.

2. Order your graduation robe at a cost of £30

Both registration and ordering your robe can be carried out at the same time.

We would also love to hear from you about your time at NESCol so please complete the send us your story form and receive any photos taken with compliments from NESCol!

Send us your story

The Graduation is covered extensively by the region's two daily newspapers — the Press & Journal and Evening Express, and many local papers. So, why not tell us a bit about yourself, your experience at College, and your plans for the future?

Those selected by the College Marketing Team will be contacted by telephone for a chat and then your story will be typed up for you to approve. No story will be sent to the press without your approval. You'll have your photos taken on the day of the graduation — and the good news is that students selected for press profiles will be sent a complimentary pen drive of all photos taken by the College's own photographer — including those taken with family and friends.

Profiles will be sent to the Press & Journal and Evening Express prior to the Graduation. They like to take their own photos so you may be asked to have another photo taken by their photographer on the day. If you come from an area that has a local paper we’ll also send your story and the photo taken by our photographer to them.

Sadly the College has no influence in the ultimate treatment of the press release by the media, and cannot guarantee that every story will be published.

Complete the send us your story form if you’d like to take part. This is not part of the graduation process — but we're proud of our students and would like to share your stories if we can.
