Edinburgh Napier University
In this section:
Edinburgh Napier is a leading professional institution with a strong international reputation, and NESCol have established an agreement with the university to develop easier progression routes into their degree programmes. This means that students who have obtained a Higher National qualification at North East Scotland College can join year two or three of relevant degree programmes, which cover a range of disciplines.
The university believe in strong, confident graduates – for that reason they have excellent facilities in place to help you make the most of your studies, and you’ll find that each of the three main faculties has their own dedicated city campus. As part of the multi-million pound ongoing campus improvements, the Craiglockhart and Sighthill campuses have been fully modernised and offer students excellent facilities, with further plans for modernisation at the Merchiston campus. At each site you will find a specialist library, and there are excellent training facilities across the university – from mock hospital wards, crime scene and forensic rooms to art and film studios, engineering labs, the business school and more!
Over 95% of on-campus students are free from scheduled teaching on Wednesday afternoons, creating space for extra-curricular student-led activities such as sport or volunteering, and the brand new [EN]GAGE Fitness centre offers plenty of opportunity to exercise your body and mind. Finally, a range of cafes and Starbucks coffee shops means you can always stop and take a break from study to catch up with friends.
